Portable Deburring Machines from CDMC are Reliable and Efficient

At the Cleveland Deburring Machine Company (CDMC), we’ve been helping clients from a variety of different industries with all-manner of deburring solutions. We’ve helped those in the Aerospace and Defense industry with deburring machine requests that are able to handle exotic metals such as titanium – and on “mission-critical” components. We’ve helped major automobile manufacturers install solutions that would de-flash and de-scale camshafts prior to turning. We’ve worked with major manufacturers of heavy construction equipment on deburring solutions for large spiral bevel gears and their mating pinions. And, of course, we’ve helped a large number of companies who manufacture consumer goods of all kinds to design and implement custom deburring solutions that allow their automated manufacturing processes to run smoothly and efficiently. Many of our clients have asked us for deburring, chamfering, finishing, brush machining, polishing, honing, and material removal solutions that were automated – requiring as little human interaction as possible. And we built them all with the help of our engineering professionals. But, in all of our dealings with large manufacturers and corporations, we’ve never lost sight of the needs of the small to medium-sized manufacturer or company that often needs a smaller or protable deburring solution for their production line or workshop.

Portable deburring machines come in a number of different varieties. Here at CDMC, we’ve introduced a number of our smaller manufacturing friends to BOB – our Basic Orbital Brushing machine. As you can imagine, orbital brushing is BOB’s singular mission. BOB stands tall on a set of four locking casters. BOB has a very user-friendly software interface. BOB’s single brush head can be fitted with a nylon disc brush up to 9-inches in diameter. And BOB is capable of deburring parts up to 10″ in diameter – either clockwise or counter-clockwise, depending on your need. Since initial development, BOB has been popular with CNC mills and lathes. BOB is always ready to deburr parts as soon as primary cutting is finished.

A few more of our popular portable deburring machines include the 1TC and 1TR Deburring Machines. These are basic (but incredibly efficient and reliable) caster-based deburring machines that offer small manufacturers a low-cost method for deburring green powdered parts prior to sintering. Each has a single conveyor and a set of rotating nylon brushes (choice of disc or radial). The brush motor and conveyor on the 1TC and 1TR models are also height-adjustable to match any related on-site equipment.

Lastly, we have the CDMC CART Deburring Machine – a miniature deburring workhorse on wheels. The CART features a bi-directional rotating part spindle and a radial nylon brush that is driven by a 1HP reversible motor. The grinder stanchion can be fitted with a variety of air motors and tool options, and the Lexan shielding provides protection during operation.
