In this blog article, we’ll give an overview of the versatility of nylon brushes in the precision brush machining process, as well as some of the deburring machines that have been developed by CDMC to this end.

Abrasive nylon brushes make for an incredibly reliable machining media, due to the fact that they can be manufactured for nearly any specific need. Nylon abrasive brushes are made from a nylon carrier that is extruded with an abrasive grain. Some common types of abrasive grain include ceramic media, cubic boron nitride (CBN), diamond, and silicon carbide. When the abrasive material is mixed with the nylon carrier and extruded into abrasive brush filaments, the resulting brush is a composite of nylon and grain – a brush that doesn’t lose its abrasive properties even as the filaments themselves wear down during use.
