Manufacturing Trade Shows Showcase Innovation, Point Toward the Future
With global manufacturing becoming increasingly competitive, as more and more countries enter into the race for faster, cheaper, better manufacturing processes, manufacturers everywhere become increasingly dependent upon improvements in processes and equipment in order to stand out from the crowd. Things like high quality surface finishes, which have always been important, take on new urgency in an extremely competitive market. That’s why manufacturing technology is constantly advancing, and innovation is key to succeeding in the global manufacturing economy.
The MACH is the largest show of its kind in the UK. In 2012, it featured more than 6,000 tons of machinery and attracted more than 21,500 visitors, and 2014’s event is looking to be even bigger. It will span five days and feature over 500 exhibitors. Events like MACH happen all over the world, allowing manufacturers and industry leaders to showcase the best and brightest of their technological advances, which help them to stay ahead in a competitive and high-tech market.
The largest manufacturing technology trade show in the United States is the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), which is also one of the largest industrial trade shows in the world. It’s held every two years, and one will be coming up in September 2014, boasting more than 1,900 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors. The first one ever was held right here in Cleveland back in 1927, though it’s since moved to Chicago’s McCormick Place.
These kinds of industry trade shows do more than just provide a one-stop shopping experience for individuals looking for new manufacturing solutions. They encourage innovation, and let industry leaders see what the competition is doing. It can be easy to take an “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” attitude, but the manufacturing industry thrives on innovation, and seeing what others are up to—even in fields that may be quite different from your own—can provide a wakeup call.
At the Cleveland Deburring Machine Company, we believe in innovation, and in staying on top of the changing needs of our manufacturing clients. As manufacturing becomes increasingly competitive, manufacturers will rely on things like good deburring machinery to provide superior quality finishes that can help their products stand out from the competition. That’s why we keep an eye on industry trade shows, and are always willing to try something new in the pursuit of the best deburring solutions possible.
